El Abrojo is a non-governmental, non-profit organization oriented to the development of processes of growing autonomy and creative transformations in society.

We intervene in reality through concrete actions, projects and activities, but we also believe it is necessary to act in the public debate on issues related to social policies, human rights and the construction of broader spaces of citizenship.

To implement our projects we are divided on the basis of 7 programs:

SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL ❘ CHILDHOOD, ADOLESCENCE AND YOUTH ❘ EDUCATION AND DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP ❘ SOCIO-LABOR ❘ LIFE SKILLS ❘ ALTER-ACTIONS ❘ RECREATION (LA JARANA).


Our mission is to develop an organization that implements innovative ideas and actions, based on initiatives, projects and programs of research, training, education and promotion, which involve a permanent commitment to the transformation of social reality. We aim to improve the quality of life of the participating populations through the strengthening of citizen autonomy, the development of civil society and the articulation of the different social actors. We aspire that El Abrojo is idea and action, and that both elements constitute a differential and a distinctive aspect of our organization.
