During practice phase and local actions envisaged by the project, the partner organizations and multipliers organized local activities and workshops in the 9 countries involved: Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, UK and Uruguay. All activities proposed were planned and designed by the youth workers based on the identified objectives and the target groups addressed. Part of the local activities involved as well the young participants of the two youth exchanges realized. The methodologies used in the workshops were guided by the principles of experiential learning and non-formal education, including participatory art methodologies. Each activity as followed by moments dedicated to reflection, self-assessment and extraction of learning points. Among the main topics treated were: inclusion, democray, art, intercultural dialogue, gender and inclusive language, peace and identity, conflict resolution, diversity, communication, participatory music, multicultural environments, collaboration and knowledge about team working, how to build learning environments, active participation, self-development, youth engagement, human rights, body movement and expression, theatre of the oppressed.
A total of 85 local activities were organized, involving a total of 1383 direct beneficiaries. Some of the workshops and events were structured as a single meeting, with an average duration of 2/3 hours, others were designed and implemented according to a process comprising a whole day event or more work days. The overall gender distribution of participants attending the workshops is 50% male and 50% female, although this figure different in each country and in some countries we observed the participation of higher number of males or females. People of all ages participated in the activities, with a general majority in the age group between 16 and 30 years. 70% of the participants came from urban areas and 30% from rural areas. The activities were able to enjoy the support of 47 partner organizations or institutions in the 9 countries. It is estimated, through the local actions a number of indirect beneficiaries of approximately 5700 people. The visibility and promotion of the activities organized took place mainly through internet, but also through organization of meetings, events, the production of flyers, magazine and the support of the media and local partners.
